Job Description:

We are currently looking for a Flight Operations Coordinator to join our headquarters in Dubai.

HADID is an aviation service provider operating within a fast-paced, innovative and complex global industry. As such, we are seeking a self-motivated candidate with relevant aviation experience who works well within a team.

The successful candidate must be fluent in both Mandarin and English. In addition, they must be meticulous in their approach and strive for excellence in every aspect of business. The candidate should also be prepared to work non-regular shift hours on a rotating roster.

The role involves the coordination and processing of internal and external requests. Service requests include, but are not limited to flight clearances, flight planning, ramp handling, hotel accommodation, ground transportation, fuel arrangements, and customs notifications, amongst others. This role requires careful monitoring and controls of all incoming operational tasks.


Responsibilities:

  • Processing service requests for corporate business jets, commercial carriers, ambulance flights, government, humanitarian and VIP flights
  • Liaising with Civil Aviation Authorities as well as agents, ground handlers and associated third party vendors
  • Arranging and coordinating concierge services such as hotel bookings, visa processing and transportation
  • Assisting in obtaining flight permits for scheduled and ad-hoc flights
  • Providing pre-flight consultations and support to clients and other third parties
  • Arranging worldwide ground handling services
  • Working closely with in house international flight planning and dispatch teams to ensure efficient operations
  • Ensuring handovers and debriefings are communicated effectively with other team members
  • Maintaining relationships and service standards, focusing predominantly on Mandarin speaking clients, vendors and third parties
  • Maintaining excellent customer service standards at all times


Skills & Competencies:

  • Candidate should possess a Bachelor Degree / MBA or equivalent, with an emphasis on aviation being advantageous
  • Native Mandarin speaker with excellent written and verbal English. Cantonese language fluency would be advantageous
  • Detail oriented with strong organisational skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to maintain a high level of productivity, to manage multiple priorities and to work effectively in time-critical situations
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills
  • Good understanding of Flight Support company operations

The successful candidate must possess strong sales qualities and business acumen. They are expected to establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with top decision-makers and prospective customers. They should be able to identify sales opportunities to generate new leads in the target region. In addition, they are expected to monitor customer preferences to ensure their expectations are exceeded. They should demonstrate a keenness to attract new customers whilst conducting market and competitor analyses.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute dynamic sales strategies to stimulate business development and growth
  • Achieve and maximise sales targets
  • Identify new business opportunities and initiatives
  • Develop close relationships with aircraft operators, government agencies, companies, individuals, sports clubs, entertainment groups etc.
  • Compile and produce monthly and quarterly sales reports and forecasts
  • Provide support in the preparation of business development forecasts and budgets
  • Negotiate annual contracts and pricing with customers
  • Attend to enquiries (RfQ / technical) by telephone, email and site visits as and when required


Skills & Competencies:

  • Candidate should possess a Bachelor Degree / MBA or equivalent with an emphasis on aviation and/or business is advantageous
  • Excellent verbal and written English and Turkish skills are mandatory
  • Must have a strong background and proven track record in flight support / General Aviation / Commercial Aviation
  • Must possess strong business communication, sales and marketing skills
  • Ability to develop close relationships at operational and executive levels
  • Ability to maintain a high level of productivity, to manage multiple priorities and to work effectively in time-critical situations
